Light weight development for plastic closures
Less than 10 years after having introduced on the market the first plastic closures for still water, traded as HEXACAP®, that weighted less than 2 g and that were produced on large scale across the world (almost 10 billion closures per year), BERICAP is now engaged with another major challenge with HexaLite® closures at less than 1.5 g, saving a minimum of 0.5 g of plastic resin (HDPE), on new light weight neck finish for PET bottles saving at least 1.5 g of PET resin, allowing savings of 2.0 g per package.

Growing ecological food trend looks for natural packaging
Shown for the first time at Anuga, SilviPak is a new generation of natural packaging, based on pulp made from virgin wood fibres. The trays are dual ovenable and suitable for frozen and chilled ready meal products, challenging the “traditional” CPET and aluminium trays by being more natural and reducing both packaging weight and oil consumption.
