Diamant Art Corporation (DIAAF) through its wholly owned subsidiary Diamant Film Inc. is about to begin trials for use of their oxo biodegradation technology in the manufacturing of plastic PET (polyethylene terephthalate with Leading Bottling Companies for Scientific Evaluation in Noth America. The additive has been subject to research in Europe and initial results indicate that it will work to create a degradable plastic PET bottle. By utilizing the proprietary additive in a manufacturing environment, these evaluations will determine the integration suitability for North American Plastic Bottling Manufacturing systems.

Graham Packaging has introduced the first clear PET (polyethylene terephthalate) multilayer plastic jar with a wide-mouth finish and barrier properties suitable for hot-packed food products such as pasta sauces, salsas, fruits, and other popular hot-fill products. Products such as these previously were available only in glass because of the need to prevent oxygen ingress.
