Atlantic Zeiser, supplier of variable data printing and encoding solutions, reports that the company registered successes throughout its entire product solutions and that drupa 2008 far exceeded all business forecasts.

An innovative double-pack concept launched by margarine brand Lätta has been achieved using the thermoforming and pre-printing expertise of RPC Bebo Plastik.

The solution is part of the recently introduced Esko Software Suite 7. The collection of EskoArtwork’s plate making software, designed specifically for the imaging requirements of the label and tag industry, offers significant cost savings through automated flexo plate optimization, particularly when used along with a Cyrel Digital Imager (CDI) flexo plate setter and an Esko Kongsberg cutting table.

EskoArtwork, the world leader in packaging preproduction solutions, will introduce its Esko Variable Data Printing module at Labelexpo 07 in hall 5, stand B30. The installation has maximized the level of automation and significantly reduced error rates in the company's prepress workflow.

The packaging for the new scent Flower by Kenzo, made from cardboard from the Arctic Paper Munken range has been awarded the top Golden Trophy Award in the Best Packaging category. The prize was awarded at the annual French graphic design fair Intergraphic Paris. This was the 27th consecutive annual fair for professionals in the printing and graphic design industries.

Fischer & Krecke delivers their first CI flexo press designed for the WetFlex process to UV-Flex GmbH, Aichstetten, Germany. The 10-color press, a FLEXPRESS 16S model, will be commissioned in the beginning of March. WetFlex is an innovative process in which the radiation cured inks developed by Sun Chemical are applied wet-on-wet to the substrate.
