Raw material saving, CO2 emission reduction and last but not least cost saving measures are major drivers in the industry nowadays. Understanding these necessities of the market and of the environment at a very early stage, BERICAP developed and introduced closure systems with optimized functionalities, not compromising on safety features and supporting at the same time the global target to minimize CO2 emission (greenhouse effect) by saving non-renewable resources through light weighting of packaging.

BERICAP’s DoubleSeal SuperShorty closure range for PCO 1881 is already well established for carbonated beverages and still water in markets like Europe, Americas and Asia. This closure range together with the PCO 1881 light weight neck offers the opportunity of significant weight reduction of up to 30%. With this closure range BERICAP claims to support industrial efforts to reduce costs, but also to improve environmental sustainability of their businesses.

COCA-COLA China decided already in Quarter 1 2008 to take advantage of reducing material usage by converting their aseptic PET beverage packages from PCO 1810 neck finish to PCO 1881. One of the closures they selected was the 1881 SuperShorty® closure.

BERICAP has developed the closure range HexaLite® for bottling of still water. The HexaLite® exists as HexaLite® 26 FB, suitable for light weighted 26 mm neck finish and the HexaLite® 29 FB, suitable for a light weighted 30 mm neck finish.

The Cosmetic Packaging Group, a division of O.BERK Company, has introduced a new line of flint glass perfume bottles beginning with the Carelis Collection. These square-shaped bottles for perfumes and colognes are available in 30-ml, 50-ml and 100-ml, all with 15-mm crimp neck finishes. The Carelis Collection can be further enhanced with optional frosting, ceramic decorating, and labeling.
