DuPont has announced the expansion of its renewably sourced portfolio of offerings for the packaging market with the launch of new DuPont™ Biomax® TPS thermoplastic starch and DuPont™ Biomax® PTT (polytrimethylterephtalate) injection moldable resin. The launch took place at the global Interpack packaging trade fair.

Packforum®, the Sealed Air Cryovac European customer care center near Paris, hosted its second global fish and seafood event last month. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved the Food Contact Notification (FCN) 772 to allow direct food contact with UV or electronic beam formulations. The FCN772 clears that the UV or EB cured formulations may be used as coatings or components of coatings (both including inks) on polymeric substrates, paper and paperboard, metal substrates, or as a component in adhesives.
