Metso sells conveyor belt operations

Metso sells its Flexowell conveyor belt operations and related assets in Moers, Germany, to ContiTech Transportbandsysteme GmbH. Flexowell operations consist of conveyor belts and systems for bulk material handling, and it is part of Metso's Mining and Construction Technology segment. Conveyor belts and bulk material handling systems will continue to be an essential part of Metso's offering to mining and construction industries also in the future. The sale is part of Metso's strategy to develop and simplify current production network, the aim of which is to improve the competitiveness of the business and to further develop customer service. The final closing will require relevant regulatory approvals. The sale will have no material impact on Metso's financial performance.

Bagging system introduced by APS

Automated Packaging Systems has introduced the SidePouch® FAS SPrint Revolution™ Bagging System. The FAS SPrint Revolution presents a conveyor of pre-opened bags that are ready for immediate loading from a 60 inch wide workspace. The loading speed is adjustable to optimize productivity for one or more operators or infeeds. The system operates in continuous, intermittent or batch modes, and cycles on pre-set parameters or by using a foot switch. This system is reasonably fast; packaging at speeds up to 150 bags per minute.

PET blockages at the conveyor

This innovative technology for coating the PET preforms during the process is optimizing the transport of the PET pack-aging. PIC was developed from the precoating technology, where Steidle GmbH spraying systems have been used successfully for years.
