This month PepsiAmericas, the second largest bottling company of Pepsi-Cola in the world, is to commence construction of its biggest factory in Europe. The plant will be located in Dragomiresti, near Bucharest. Investment in the first stage of the project comprises $55-60m, with the total outlay expected to rise to $150m by 2010-2011. The facility occupies 30,000 m² and production is being relocated from Bucharest.
