SALIMA – the International Food Fairs is the most important exhibition project focused on foodstuffs and food technologies in Central Europe. Since 2002 they have been staged on a two-year basis as the two-year interval better complies with their professional and contracting character and also with the innovation cycle of the presented technologies. The next fairs will be held from 4 to 7 March 2008 and will consist of: SALIMA – the 26th International Food Fair; MBK – the 4th International Milling Industry, Bakery and Confectionery Fair; INTECO – the 23rd International Fair of Equipment for Retail Trade, Hotels and Catering Facilities; and VINEX – the 13th International Wine Fair.

Like in the previous years, the Russian premier exhibition event for
the food processing branches (15-19 October 2007 in Moscow) has
been booked very well. Many companies have enlarged their
budgets and exhibition space this year in the IFFA trade fair in
Frankfurt, Germany. However, the preparations for AgroProdMash
Moscow show how important the Russian market is now for the
European branches. An additional stimulus for the development of
the food processing sector are undoubtedly the support measures
implemented since 2006 by the Russian state for the agricultural
and food processing industries.
