Cortec® EcoDevice™ - Biobased “Green” Mechanism released
EcoDevice™ is the latest Green corrosion-inhibiting product by Cortec® Corporation, and is the first product of its kind derived almost entirely from renewable materials. Powered by NANO-VpCI™ technology, the EcoDevice™ is constructed from biobased, renewable materials providing a sustainable option for corrosion protection. Designed to protect metals in enclosed spaces, EcoDevice™ utilizes Vapor Phase Corrosion Inhibitors (VpCI’s) allowing it to protect without the use of oils, or other chemicals that subsequently need to be removed.Each EcoDevice™ will protect up to 42 L (1.5 ft3) of enclosed space, and has a profile of less than 1 mm (0.03 inches) making it ideal for applications where space is limited. Simply place an EcoDevice™ inside a tool box, electrical cabinet, control panel or other critical spaces and the EcoDevice™ will emit a protective vapor providing clean corrosion protection for up to 24 months. The inhibitors adsorb onto the metal surface forming a barrier to moisture and corrosive gases without adversely affecting the appearance, conductivity, mechanical integrity, or optical functionality of the components being protected.
