The number of logistical shipments increases every year. In most cases, goods are delivered at the right place, in the right condition and at the right time. But sometimes things go wrong. Product damage during transport can arise from freezing, tilt, breakage, temperature changes, UV radiation and varying humidity. This often results in product loss.

Damage arising during transport costs industry millions each year. This is partly due to incorrect choice of packaging. One example is condensation in sea containers caused by switching from hot to cold temperatures. If packaging has no barrier against moisture the contents can lump together or lose valuable properties. Often a product is then considered lost.

Packaging should be equipped for unforeseen factors so you can avoid material damage. A good packaging supplier not only provides you with the packaging but also gives advice on the role that the packaging plays in the overall supply chain, including transport!
