Day two of the conference takes a more technical angle on manipulation of paperboard properties, while retaining the commercial angle. It will begin with speakers from KORSNÄS focusing at enhancing the functionality of paperboard packaging, CYPAK illustrating how to exploit new technologies in this packaging format, and IMERYS will analyse fresh commercial opportunities for paperboard enabled by improved barrier coatings. “We are proud to launch this conference in collaboration with TAPPI. Our joint expertise brings together an unparalleled partnership in paperboard packaging, and we are pleased to present such a strong conference programme,” said Robert Stead, Head of Events at Pira International. “Paperboard has strong growth potential, and will become even more of a key area for papermakers in the future, and it’s clear that it still holds high interest for brands and retailers, as Tesco will illustrate.”
