Cyrel products to be shown at fair

DuPont Packaging Graphics will showcase the groundbreaking Cyrel® FAST round system, an easy to use hardware and consumable solution that delivers a continuous print flexo sleeve. It is optimized for precision, high quality printing and improved workflow productivity.

The system includes the new Cyrel® round thermal processor, high productivity Cyrel® exposure and light finisher units, Cyrel® FAST round Photopolymer sleeves, as well as a high resolution cantilevered EskoArtwork - Cyrel® Digital Imager. The system has been designed for efficient workflow with just one operator.  It can produce more than four high quality imaged sleeves per hour. The first print form is ready to go on press in just 30 minutes.

Due to efficiencies in operation, this system can effectively lower the cost entry barriers for use of continuous photopolymer print forms, in both wide web and narrow web applications.“Cyrel® FAST round, capitalizes on the benefits of both Cyrel® FAST thermal plate-making and Cyrel® solvent round technologies”, says Reiner Stoll, Market Development Manager with DuPont Packaging Graphics. “The thermal technology at the base of the system enables the processing of imaged sleeves without the need of solvents. Compared to many other print technologies, such as gravure for example, flexo reduces the non-renewable energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions in the print form making process, matching the sustainability expectations of both converters and print buyers”.

At the exhibition DuPont will also feature Cyrel® DPR and Cyrel® DFQ the top-range plates for solvent and thermal processing. Cyrel® DPR is  a digital plate of choice for high quality printing across a broad range of packaging segments. DPR has been designed to perform with a wide array of substrates and inks. It could be applicable for flexible packaging, tag & label, folding cartons and beverage cartons.  Cyrel® DFQ is the high durometer plate that combines the needs of high quality flexo finest halftone, linework and solids, that fits perfectly when imaged and processed on Cyrel® FAST thermal platemaking. The application areas of Cyrel® DFQ include flexible packaging, tag & label, envelops, carrier bags, folding cartons, pre-print liner and beverage cartons.
