EMIS Ltd. of Poland debuted successfully on its first Label Expo appearance. “We have had a lot of positive feedback from our customers and partners”, recaps Adam Robak, International Sales Director at EMIS, “this was proven by many signed contracts during and right after the show. We are already looking forward to join the crowd during the next show and present yet more interesting and exciting products to label producers.”

EMIS presented six products from the FLEXOR series showing converters possibilities to use its slitting/rewinding and die cutting machines for various applications.

The main highlight was the Flexor 380C+ Jumbo, a 380mm wide hybrid machine for slitting, rewinding, die cutting and inspecting. Available in width from 280 to 520mm the main features of this top-end model are the separate unwind for 40inch rolls with an electrical roll lift, two paper buffers for camera inspection possibilities, waste and matrix rewinds and two drive shafts guaranteeing the operator a perfect tension during the die cutting process. Featuring six servo drives and a highly automated user interface this machine is the perfect work horse for high quality production and a demanding customer range. The integration of the DoD Omega 36i inkjet from Atlantic Zeiser showed that the FLEXOR series machines can fully integrate third party equipment and highlighted the many possibilities the machine offer for expansion.

With the Flexor 250TD+ , a table top model, it was shown that high quality labels can be produced on a low budget machine. With a max. web width of 250mm and the possibility of die cutting to register this Flexor slitting and die cutting machine is the perfect fit for low volume production or converting web printed on small digital printers. Ergonomic design and easy to use controls allow make it a highly productive yet economical solution for your application.

The cooperation in sales and production between EMIS and CTC was announced just before the Label Expo Show and hence it was a logical step to show a CTC VTR330 turret rewinder inline with a fully compatible Flexor 380C machine. This highly automated production line is the perfect solution for mass production of blank labels. With an extra big matrix rewind a full 2000m roll can be converted within minutes. Servo drives on both the Flexor and the CTC turret guarantee a high quality end product.

The 100% inspection machine, Flexor 400IS, was a major highlight featuring a NIKKA Research 100% inspection camera which can inspect web of width of up to 400mm. The full integration of the NIKKA camera into the FLEXOR slitting, inspecting and rewinding machine made it possible to stop the detected fault on a doctor table accurately at speeds of up to 250m/min. The featured waste rewind made it easy to rewind waste quickly and continue the production of high quality finished rolls. The Flexor 400IS can be integrated together with any available inspection camera system and hence offers a wide array of possibilities.

The presence of roll handling equipment like the Flexi Roll Lift 800L and the Flexi Roll Lift 360 was a major success cumulating with over 15 sold during the show. This mechanical and robust solution proved indispensable for most converters and was the perfect fit to already existing equipment. The Flexi Roll Lift allows the operator to move paper rolls freely without the strain and hazards of lifting heavy weights. “The Roll Lift conforms to H&S Regulations and should be used in every print house, not only to prevent paper rolls to get damaged while rolling them on the floor, but also to make the job of operators easier, faster, more efficient and most importantly safer”, highlights Adam Robak responsible for International Sales at EMIS.
