First packaging masters degree awarded

After 10 years of professional experience Markus Hochuli chose in early 2007 the master’s
program at IPI International Packaging Institute to educate himself in Packaging and
Management. As a studied food technologist, he saw this as an opportunity to widen his
knowledge and to improve his career opportunities.
“It was extremely worthwhile” says the 35 year old upon completing the two year professional
education. “The study delivered a broad range of expertise like Material Science, Coating
and Converting, Engineering, Printing and Interaction between Fillgoods and Packaging. This
expert knowledge together with the conveyed Soft Skills in Leadership, Ethic and Culture as
well as the managerial expertise in Investment & Finance, Marketing, Strategy and Law
enable me to now utilize a comprehensive approach in thinking and problem solving.”
The outstanding learning environment, the individualized tuition and personal contact with
the world-class lecturers have contributed greatly to the success of the study. He praises IPI
in the selection of the lecturers: “Each subject was taught by a renowned expert from
academia or industry!”
With the appropriate up-to-date knowledge and the internationally recognized degree
in his pocket his career prospects have
risen significantly.
In the coming months his fellow study participants will present their master thesis and all look
forward to the graduation ceremony early next year.
