Awards given at this year’s Pro Typographia competition
Two awards will enrich the STI Petőfi Printing House Ltd., which have been won at the contest of prime printed products, the Pro Typographia professional competition. The purpose of this open, public competition, which is organized every year, is to introduce the excellent products of the Hungarian printing houses to the public and make them compete. This year there were 11 categories.The Szamos Marzipan Christmas fondant dessert box produced by the STI Petőfi Printing House – which is premium packaging produced by offset printing and it was commercialized in 2008 – has won the award of the National Association of Packaging and Materials Handling. The Christmas dessert specialty can be perfectly seen through the windows of the leaf-metal box which consists of three parts. It offers a solution for increasing the atmosphere of the festive occasion.
The product of the label plant of the Kecskemét Printing House, the Philips static self-adhesive label has received excellent grading. The ‘magic power’ of the self-adhesive label with not typical, youthful graphics lies in the static base material, with the help of which the label without any adhesive is able to adhere to certain surfaces owing to its surface polarized in electrostatic space.
The awarding ceremony of the Pro Typographia 2009 competition will be held on 17th September, 2009 at the Budapest Technical College where the winning products in each category will be exhibited.
