New laboratory extrusion plant for film manufacture
The small pilot plant at the Fraunhofer IVV also has a new extrusion plant for film manufacture.This new laboratory extrusion plant was brought into operation in May 2009 and allows four different polymers to be processed into 7-layer films. The new plant will be used for R&D work and for contract services for industry. Besides the extrusion plant, the film manufacturing facilities at the Fraunhofer IVV also include plants for lacquering, laminating and vacuum coating.
