Sealed Air, a leading manufacturer of food and protective packaging systems and materials, has launched a new automated foam-in-bag cushioning system to help companies improve packaging speeds and volumes, while reducing operating costs.

The Instapak AIM system does not require a dedicated operator; it produces protective cushions automatically to satisfy customer demands.  The system can be seamlessly integrated into moderate to high volume packaging lines and produces high-definition foam cushions made from Instapak® foam.

Instapak foam is designed for use in a range of transportation and shipping boxes and moulds around a product within its outer packaging to provide premium protection performance.  It is ideal for operators and distributors transporting fragile, delicate and expensive products such as antiques, ceramics, electronic parts and automotive components.

Simon Davies, Instapak Product manager at Sealed Air comments: “In the current economic climate, companies are under increasing pressure to maximise efficiency.  The Instapak AIM system provides them with a cost effective solution that minimises waste, while enabling personnel resources to be more effectively utilised and focused on core operation.

”The system will prove particularly beneficial to companies that use high volumes of packaging such as internet, mail order, moving and storage organisations.”
