“Card sleeve” a real eye-catcher
The packaging for products that have to be eaten or consumed immediately after opening usually focuses on making sure the contents are easy to take out. But in the non-food area too, there are countless usage areas in which a convenient way of removing the product could offer consumers additional benefits.
A tear-off strip in the card sleeve means that the bag can be opened easily and cleanly. In next to no time, it can be rearranged to stand on its own, stay open and allow easy access to what’s inside. This opens up new areas of use and also makes the product stand out on the shelf. While conventional bags are used merely to store goods, the “accessible pouch” is simultaneously a dish for the table.
Striking appearance
Additional design options are also possible, including graphic design elements such as a brand name or quality seal, which can be specially emphasised using the contours of the carton. The material is also receptive to numerous finishing techniques – from simple relief embossing and top-quality foil embossing, right through to special effects, functional colours and inks. The packaging stands out on the shelf anyway, but its appearance can be made even more striking through these additional measures.
The new packaging offers further options for positioning sales promotions attractively and prominently. Graphic design can be combined with the contours of the card sleeve, clearly drawing attention to it and distinguishing it from the usual dominant packaging solutions. For example, an Easter promotion could use a packaging design that, when opened, reveals a nest filled with chocolate eggs. A euro hole meanwhile enables the “accessible pouch” to be hung up and positioned in the impulse area.
Tear open the bag, form a dish and enjoy with friends.
