International forum in Poznań
Poznań will soon turn into an international forum for presenting the latest solutions and technologies in packaging and logistics. The International Packaging Technology and Logistics Exhibition TAROPAK will be held on the grounds of the Poznań International Fair on 15-18 September. It will celebrate its 35th anniversary this year.
Scope and themes of the show
TAROPAK is a specialist offer addressed to all those who are professionally involved in the broadly understood production of packaging, raw materials and machines, as well as warehousing and logistic activities.
This year, almost 800 exhibitors will present their offers on the area of 20,000 m2. The largest group of exhibitors includes companies that offer packing machines and devices and plastic packaging. Almost 100 exhibitors will present offers related to warehousing and in-house transport. It is worth emphasising the record number of foreign exhibitors participating in the exhibition in its 35-year history. There are currently over 35% of foreign exhibitors coming from 32 countries. The most numerously represented countries, alongside Poland, include Italy, Germany, France, Taiwan and Turkey.
News and events
Trade shows are a perfect place to promote new technological solutions. Market innovations are the strongest attractors of professional visitors and large groups of attendees. This year, the number of new offers presented at the show will reach almost 250.
TAROPAK not only creates an opportunity to exchange opinions and present products, but also offers a wide range of seminars, workshops and special expositions. Keith Pearson, President of the World Packaging Organisation will be an honorary guest at this year’s edition of the show. The programme of events includes:
“Packaging Day” organised by the Polish Chamber of Packaging;
a conference entitled “The market of biodegradable packaging in Poland” prepared by the Polish Chamber of Packaging;
a seminar organised by Polski Drukarz Publishing House: “Adhesive labels – new technologies”;
Sztaplar Show – another edition of the competition of forklift trucks;
“Shelf Ready Packaging – a challenge to the market” – a seminar organised by the Polish Chamber of Packaging and the Institute of Logistics and Warehousing;
Innovations for Logistics 2008 – a model distribution centre;
an exhibition of entries to the Art of Packaging 2007 competition organised by Packaging Polska monthly.
