Drinks congress to be held at Anuga FoodTec

Every year the congress brings together the leading manufacturers, suppliers and analysts from the soft drinks sector, who present and discuss the latest trends and developments on the global market. Europe’s leading drinks consultancy Zenith International is organizing the event. The congress programme includes a tour around a Coca Cola factory, two conference days at the exhibition centre and a gala dinner in the nearby Grand Hotel Schloss Bensberg. The three day conference begins on 9th March, one day before the start of Anuga FoodTec, which runs from 10th to 13th March 2009 in the halls of the Cologne exhibition centre. The 2009 InnoBev Global Soft Drinks Congress will be opened by Beatrice Guillaume-Grabisch, Managing Director of CocaCola Germany.

Anuga FoodTec is the world’s only specialist trade fair whose multi-sector approach covers all aspects of processing, packaging, hygiene, storage and distribution in food production. Anuga FoodTec takes place every three years and is jointly organized by Koelnmesse GmbH and the German Agricultural Society (DLG). In 2006, 1,172 suppliers from 43 countries participated on an area measuring 113,000 m². Approximately 39,000 trade visitors from 151 countries were registered.

Over 50 per cent of Anuga FoodTec suppliers present products and technologies for the drinks sector in Cologne, thus offering an ideal environment for participants of the InnoBev Global Soft Drinks Congress. “The Congress will attract many decision-makers, suppliers and analysts interested in the beverage industry. In addition to the insights gained at the Congress, they will also be able to take in the comprehensive information available at Anuga FoodTec. Against a backdrop of increasing overlap between milk and other beverage categories, information about  the technologies used for milk processing will be especially important ,” stresses Richard Hall, Chairman of Congress organiser Zenith International.
