Oystar launches three machines

“The new Xpress Wash-in-Place system reinforces our leading position in tablet compression technology,” says Matthias Meyer, Managing Director of OYSTAR Manesty.

The WiP system offers customers a fully programmable sequence that cleans all substrates from the press, with the capability of using different water types, detergents or foam. Residual material is removed from the feeder and flushed automatically, significantly reducing cleaning time. The unique stepped cabinet design reduces the complexity of components to be cleaned. The WiP sequence may also be linked to the cleaning of ancillary equipment such as dedusters and in-process control units.

The new split turret design in conjunction with the new die plate and the removable upper and lower seal plates provides even faster disassembly of all turret components. The faster cleaning and changeover times of the Xpress Wash-in-Place system improve yield potential by over 30%.

The XL™ Cota 350 coating machine from OYSTAR Manesty introduces many newly developed features that will be standard on all future XL™ Cota machines, including improvements to the introduction of solution into the drum. This machine conforms to cGMP and is suitable for medium to large scale production with a standard drum capacity of 500 litres or between 95 to 440 kilograms. The coater can also be provided with an optional validated Clean in Place system with strategically located cleaning nozzles, controlled by m-tec™ control system technology.

“Our XL Cota coating equipment is the pharmaceutical industry’s tablet coating standard,” says Matthias Meyer. The equipment is designed to cover a wide range of production batches from medium scale to large scale. The tightly controlled manufacturing process ensures the delivery of a high-quality end product.

And finally: The newly developed 4 to 10 Station XSpress from OYSTAR Manesty conforms to the current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and allows customers to analyze key compression data. It is fully automated and is capable of manufacturing single, bi-layer, and tri-layer tablets - unique for a machine of this type. The software gives the operator the ability to study and experiment with key compression cycle data. Unlike other tablet presses, the XSPress is not fixed to a compression cycle; all parameters are fully adjustable. Mounted on wheels, this compact and flexible press can easily be moved to a different production zone to manufacture small batches. The XSpress from OYSTAR Manesty offers a complete solution to the research and development of new tablets.
