Two in one machine for small format packaging

Today, with the Combisleeve, the group has launched a market first in the form of a high-speed two-in-one concept that combines sleeve positioning and shrinkage in a single compact monoblock structure designed for small containers.
The Combisleeve combines state-of-the-art technology developed by the latest generation of positioning and shrink application machines by Sleever Machines. It is thus equipped with a positioning device designed for the new Powersleeve® Evolution 4 range, in addition to a hot-air shrink system based on patented technology implementing an infrared/hot-air duo with the Skinner® effect, for a faultlessly applied sleeve.

An ultra-compact high-speed machine
Its main assets include high speeds for technical markets – up to 18 000 units/hour; a reduced footprint thanks to a compact monoblock structure (measuring 2300mm x 850mm) equipped with a single electrical box; simplified adjustments to optimise configuration in the case of format changeovers; increased flexibility and evolution capacity regarding format changeovers to deal with large product ranges; rationalised operating costs thanks to controlled electrical consumption, due in particular to an improved heating element layout; vacuum conveyors and specific guiding systems for the perfect stability of small-sized products, frequently used for selective markets and more lightweight components, such as the positioning head, whose weight has been cut by 50% thanks to better adaptation to mechanical sleeve principles.

The Combisleeve is designed to handle containers from 16 to 75mm in diameter, minimum heights of 25mm and a maximum of 150mm, all available films (PET, OPS, TPE, etc.) and thicknesses from 30 to 75µm. It can be equipped with a series of peripheral equipment according to the customers’ production specification requirements:
• Full microperforation and cutting crop marks in the case of tamper-proof goods (300 strokes/minute), tolerance of 5/10ths mm
• Autocontrol system by visualisation of images or camera
• Synchronous marking/coding station (tolerance of 5/10ths mm)
• A vertical and lateral sleeve positioning module depending on the container’s shape and the sleeve’s dimensions
• Non-stop reel change by integrated station
• Format evolution module up to 80ml

Satisfying market demands
The Combisleeve is equipped with technology that has contributed to the reputation of Sleever Machines. It guarantees the sleeve’s ideal positioning on the product, vertically and horizontally, thereby ensuring flawless quality. Dual camera viewing systems automatically control marking and sleeve direction on the product. The Combisleeve thus satisfies IQ/OQ (static and dynamic installation qualification) validation processes that are used, in particular, by pharmaceutical markets.
Moreover, the design of the Combisleeve satisfies CE (Europe), UL (United States) and CSA (Canada) norms, enabling Sleever International to meet the requirements of the global marketplace.
