Small footprint in robotics
Cermex is pursuing its strategy for functional and industrial innovation with this new case packer. Adapted to handle various types of products thanks to a wide range of loading arms, this compact SD58, presented for the first time at Interpack 2008, is a perfect balance between a small footprint and high mechanical performance.
While redeveloping the case extraction/transfer system, Cermex retains the principles which have contributed to its machines’ reputation for reliability, i.e. positive case control at all times. In the same way, by integrating a choice of gripping arms developed by Cermex as well as other manufacturers (6-axis robots), the SD58 becomes extremely versatile. Whether handling cosmetic bottles or food doypacks (up to 8kg in weight and 25 cycles per minute depending on the application), the SD58 achieves high performance in a reduced perimeter.
Equipped with a vision system to control the quality of the products at the machine infeed or with the mEIT system (tracking and analysis software to improve overall machine efficiency), the SD58 can evolve in terms of functionalities thanks to its control structure (PLC, numeric control).
This case packer with combined functions (case forming, product loading, case sealing in a single machine) will suit numerous market applications.
