Polish wages rise by over twelve percent
Average wages in the corporate sector fell by 0.2% m/m in April, 2008 and were up by 12.6% in annual terms amounting to PLN 3137.74, the Central Statistical Office (GUS) announced on Monday.
Average employment in the enterprise sector was up by 0.1% in April compared with a month earlier, whereas year-on-year it rose by 5.6%, GUS reported. Employment in the enterprise sector amounted to 5,388,900 persons.
In the whole of 2007, enterprise wages were up by 9.2% and employment rose by 4.7%.
