Degraf to attend drupa
Degraf SpA, worldwide leader in the development and design of equipment for the production of flexographic plates, reconfirms its role of technological driver with its presence at Drupa 2008 in Düsseldorf, showing its most advanced range of solutions for the flexo platemaking.
At Degraf stand (Hall 9, Booth D74), Degraf will show Concept 201HTD, Concept 305DW and Concept 305EDLF: the most complete mix of equipment, designed both for the packaging printing and the labeling sector. These solutions can produce flexographic plates from 66×81 cm up to 92×120 cm.
Concept 305DW, represents, together with the “larger” Concept 505DW, the state of the art of the washing units for digital flexo plates. This unit is equipped with a double washout area, which allows the separation of the “dirty” solvent (used to remove the layer of the digital plate), from the solvent used to process the plate. Concept 305DW is the only unit available on the market which can always offer an efficient and uncontaminated solvent in the washout section. Concept 305DW can process both digital and analog plates of size up to 92 x 120 cm (36 x 48”).
Concept 305EDLF represents the best technology applied to a multi-process unit for exposure, drying and finishing of middle-sized plates, of size up to 92×120 cm (36×48”). The automatic, quick and silent opening-system, allows a direct access from three sides and all the functions of the unit are controlled via PLC with a colored touch-screen.
Last but not least, the compact Concept 201HTD is specifically designed for the label market: this unit covers the whole production-cycle of flexographic plates, of size up to 66 x 81cm. Concept 201 HTD represents the ideal solution for small production environments, which are typical of the “narrow-web” market and of those who print labels.
This is the first “ALL-IN-ONE” equipment integrating the HTD dryer, a revolutionary drying system patented by Degraf, which ensures consistent time reductions in the drying process of a plate, up to a fourth of the time that is usually required by conventional drying systems.
“Our attendance at such a big event as Drupa”, point out Riccardo De Caria, president of Degraf S.p.A., “once again confirms our concrete commitment in the development of technological solutions ideal for all sectors of flexographic printing. At Düsseldorf, the position of Degraf will be reinforced thanks to our participation at Flexo4all, the alliance joined by 19 companies strongly committed to show that Flexo is the best printing technique for packaging and labeling”.
