Not enough rubbish
A Krakow woman was slapped with a PLN50 fine because her home recycling plan did not leave enough refuse for the city to pick up, Gazeta Krakowska reported.The woman
segregates her rubbish into special containers
some 500 metres from her house, making
municipal inspectors suspect she had
dumped it at an illegal landfill.
“The fine isn’t the issue,” she told the paper.
“It’s just the absurdity of the situation. They
didn’t inform me that I had too little rubbish –
it was just that their statistics didn’t agree.”
