There is a new trend in the Japanese, American and Russian beverage market – beer in aluminium bottles. What is surprising at first will show certain advantages on a closer inspection: in an aluminium bottle beer can be cooled down quicker and thus it will keep an enjoyable temperature for a longer time. ETT have designed and manufactured a special system for aluminium bottles for a customer from the Czech Republic.

At this particular company in Czech, 180 beer bottles leave the production line per min. Their destination: breweries in Russia. For their journey the bottles need to be packed gentle and safe for transport. “With this system we were able to bring in our full solution competence and flexibility.” says Sales Director, Mr. Martin Kiesbye. Firstly the bottles are buffered on a table and then fed into the pre-collation device. A robot arm complete with a specially designed gripper head grips the bottles and sets them precisely onto a pallet. According to the product, the layers will be horizontally strapped. The final step is the transport security: a cover tray will be placed on top, the pallets will be vertically strapped and wrapped in stretch film – all these operations will be carried out automatically by a complete line solution from ETT.
