The R.WEISS Verpackungstechnik could also continue in the past year their planned growth curve consistently. After the Crailsheimer machine-builder moved first 2006 in a modern assembly hall with more than doubled production floor and also parallel in a new, multi-storey administration building; 2008 again further assembly and office surfaces are necessary. According to statements of the management the ground-breaking ceremony for this takes place soon.

In the course of these structural extensions naturally also personnel resources are substantially increased. Although due to the very good economic situation also in the Hohenloher Packaging Valley good personnel is only limited available, Reinald Weiss, CEO of the R.WEISS Group is also optimistic here. “Our positive development was noticed naturally also by the local job market. So we will be accordingly able to continue also the development of our personnel capacities. A part of the need is covered by intensified apprenticeships and further education from the own ranks.” Anyway good applications are always welcome. Also we are constant on the search for further commercial agencies national and abroad.

The consistent advancement of the R.WEISS UNIROB Top-Loading robot-systems carries a substantial contribution to this growth. Manufacturer of branded goods from the ranges food and beverage, pharmacy and cosmetics could be convinced by this highly flexible and space-saving Top-Loading robot-technology by the flexibility and efficiency of the UNIROB packaging installations. The robots are positioned depending on above into modular UNIROB robot cells. All transport -, grouping and periphery functions are positioned underneath, so the robots are clearly and well accessible.

The high flexibility of the UNIROB will be done on less production space e.g. erecting, product feeding, take up and put it in the carton, carton closing and finally a palletizing. Due to the modular and very flexible UNIROB robot cell system so arbitrary processes can follow one another and fulfil thus almost all customized requirements. The robots in the UNIROB cell will be standard 6-axial-robots. This means standard equipment for the customers. The high advantage with the R.WEISS robot cells is: The movement of the product will be mostly handled by the robots. This means less costs are combined with long lifetime.
Beside the UNIROB packaging installation R.WEISS presents on the interpack in Düsseldorf an innovative new development. The presented carton erector SAT-1212-C is part of a complete end-of-line packaging concept. Substantial characteristic of this end-of-line packaging concept is the fully automatic, program controlled size change with over 50 formats. The line processes cardboard blanks with hinged lid and dust and putting in flats as well as blanks with hinged impact flaps, similarly FEFCO 0201.

A highlight of the line is the fully automatic size change of the carton erector including folding stamps. The size change is made via Touch Panel. All positions including the folding stamp are adjusted by servo-motors to the new format. Where with conventional erectors a change of the format stamp and following start-up are necessary, here the simple and fast change takes place at the Touch Panel. Due to the large number of different blanks the user saves time as well as enormous costs of the folding stamps.
