Thermoforming machine ready for all applications
The new generation of Multivac thermoforming machines is now available for all application- and performance classes. In Hall 05, booth C23 / D24, Multivac is presenting its range from the high performance machine R 535, the flexible design R 245 and the compact R 145 to the economy model. The R 175 CD is also part of the new generation, a new compact machine for Darfresh packages with films by Cryovac.
What all machines have in common is the completely new hygiene design that simplifies the cleaning process – and not only on the outside but also the inside of the machines. One example is the new open design of chain and chain guide: It allows for easy removal of contaminations even in these critical areas, without disassembly. The concept is supported by an optimal clean-in-place system, an absolute innovation for thermoforming machines. It enables the partially automated and reproducible cleaning of the machine interior. This is supplemented by improvements in the design and functions, for example with the lifting mechanisms and dies. They enable an additional increase in machine performance, ergonomics and cost effectiveness.
The machines are presented in interesting applications at the trade show. For example, integrated into a complete line for food products with a robotics unloading unit and a quality control system that consists of a weight/price labeling, sealed seam testing device, X-ray testing device and the automatic ejection of flawed packages. Or in a machine for cold cut packages in a retro design, which look as if they had been packaged at the sales counter.
In the non-food area, Multivac presents blister packs with an especially solid sealed seam. A special highlight at the trade show are packages with base, which stand upright on the shelf without a presentation box. This is achieved through a special forming procedure on Multivac thermoforming machines.
In the food area, skin packages continue to be a highly relevant subject. Such packages can also be implemented with Multivac tray sealers, for all performance areas and all sizes of applicable trays. As an example of this, Multivac will show an application on a fully automatic tray sealer at the trade show.
What is interesting especially to manufacturers of medical devices are the chamber machines C 400 TC and C 500 TC: their permanently heated, exactly temperature-regulated sealing bars guarantee a sealing quality that can be documented and reproduced, as a prerequisite for the validation. Multivac is also offering a new service in this important area: a complete validation package according to ISO 11607, as a contribution to the process validation of the manufacturer.
