Designer glass group founded
Marc M. Gaelen, president & CEO, O.BERK Company has announced the formation of the Designer Glass Packaging Group. “The purpose of this division is to offer exceptional luxury glass packaging to the fragrance, perfume, high-end giftable, and collectable markets,” continued Mr. Gaelen. “This offering includes the bottle, closure, decorating or labeling, and carton to present the complete, high-end luxury packaging. The group will be headed by Hugues Thibaud, who previously managed Elemental Container Inc.”
The first offering is a new line of faceted fragrance bottles: the Masterpieces Collection available in exquisite glass in clear, black, or a palette of other colors. Sizes include 8-ml, 20-ml, 40-ml, and 100-ml with matching friction fit closures. Limited availability.
In addition, the Designer Glass Packaging Group has an agreement with Pierre Dinand, a noted glass bottle designer, to create unique bottles for the perfume and collectable markets. Bottles are available in quantities from 1 to 20,000 with reasonable mold costs for this specialty glass packaging. His first creation is Grande Factice – an exquisitely crafted, sculptural swirl of pure premium glass crowned with matching tops standing over 18-in tall – available in ice-clear, fire-red, or a range of jewel colors. Other designs as well as custom bottles, factices, and closures are available upon request.
