With increased levels of interest in the health and hygiene arena, M&H announces the launch of a revolutionary new Antimicrobial Product.

It helps stop the spread of infection and is clinically proven to be effective across a wide range of bacteria including MRSA and E. Coli. It works by adding ionic silver which inhibits fungal growth and kills over 99.99% of bacteria within 24 hours, and is effective over the lifetime of the product. It is widely used in the NHS and accepted as one of the most effective Antimicrobial Additives.

How it works:
As soon as the part is moulded there will be silver ions on the surface of the moulding
If a bacteria lands it will be in a very vulnerable position
When the bacteria tries to consume something on the surface, a silver ion will be ingested and the cell wall will be unable to close, thereby eliminating the ability of the cell to reproduce.  It will die very shortly after contact with the silver
The silver continuously combats microbes in three ways:
· Disrupts cell metabolism
· Inhibits respiration
· Inhibits cell division/reproduction
This ‘tri-modal’ action makes it a broad-spectrum antimicrobial effective against even difficult to control, multi-resistant bacterial strains

The product is ideal for a wide range of cosmetic, toiletries and personal care products and provides a key product differentiator at a competitive price.

M&H is at the forefront of creativity and the delivery of new innovation in bottles, flexible tubes, closures and jars, and new concepts are constantly being developed offering an exciting point of difference in an increasingly competitive marketplace.
