Private label event in January
It appeared in Italian exhibition scenario in 2005, and with just three editions the first Italian conference and exhibition devoted to Private Labels is acknowledged as one of the major appointments in this industry.The event is directly organised by BolognaFiere, with the help of leading companies from largescale
retail trade – that will sponsor the event and take part in it as exhibitors – together with
Parma University and IRI – involved in the Permanent Observatory on Private Labels – and ADM
(Italian Modern Distribution Association).
2008 edition will be held in Bologna on January 17th and 18th, 2007 and will be featured
by a greater presence of international stakeholders (exhibitors/trade professionals) and
experiences, which confirm this event is fully included in international exhibition circuits. Many
foreign retailers will participate in the conferences and workshops organised for the forthcoming
edition: their contribution will be a valuable occasion to compare the most important
experiences in the European scenario.
Among “training” initiatives, the forthcoming edition will again have MARCA by BolognaFiere
Training Programme – professional development courses for private label business
community, which are organised in collaboration with Parma University and thoroughly study
the dynamics of private label policies and possible future market scenarios.
An innovation for 2008 edition is MARCA by BolognaFiere Training Programme in
collaboration with ADM: an entire day for private label stakeholders inside large retail
companies, with some international excellent experts participating in it. This initiative aims at
meeting retailers’ need to be more involved in training activities. Organisers believe in such
involvement and want to enhance it further more through a format gathering three essential
elements: exhibition, training and information.
To support this event, many business initiatives have been planned: from direct marketing
activities to organisation of foreign delegations of buyers visiting MARCA.
