More seduction from Iggesund
Seduced by Invercote is the theme of Iggesund Paperboard’s participation in this year’s LuxePack, and it is a seduction with several dimensions. Primarily the theme refers to Invercote’s abilities to convey a message in a powerful and convincing way.
“Year after year we see how leading brands choose Invercote when they really want to achieve the ultimate in terms of attracting attention,” comments Guy Mallinson, Business Director Packaging at Iggesund Paperboard. “When they want to capture the consumer’s attention and create that extra touch of excitement on the retail shelf, Invercote is always a sure bet. Perhaps it’s because there is a built-in sense of security but more likely it’s because of the opportunity to achieve a stunning result.”
Mallinson is a veteran when it comes to selling paperboard to the packaging industry, with a special focus on the prestige segment. He has seen how companies’ resources are increasingly focused on strong launches in which everything must work perfectly down to the smallest detail.
“Returning to the theme of seduction, I would say that printers and converters allow themselves to be seduced by Invercote’s quality consistency. When the result has to be good, when nothing can go wrong – that’s when they choose Invercote for its reliability. Even when it’s possible to achieve the most amazing results and an extraordinary elegance, it is perhaps still the certainty that things will function – and function well – that is the most important thing to printers and converters.”
The seduction is perhaps especially strong when it comes to designers, who discover that more than any other paperboard on the market, Invercote gives them the best possibilities of realising their creative ambitions. Seduced by Invercote was developed by Iggesund to demonstrate Invercote’s possibilities. The starting point was a joint project with the French chocolatiers Valrhona. Iggesund created an elegant box that contains examples of exciting chocolate box designs plus an exclusive book about Valrhona’s chocolate making.
“We feel a kinship with Valrhona due to their extremely thorough control of their raw material and their obsession with quality,” Mallinson explains. “Our demands on our raw material and product quality are at the same level.”
