Travel kit debuts
Rexam’s breakthrough 3-in-1 blister pack, the Essential Travel Kit, is the first global, high-performance miniature program designed to help air travelers carry security-compliant amounts of their favorite personal care product-families on-board.According to Séverine Bourguignat , Samplers Product Manager, for Rexam Dispensing Systems, the Essential Travel Kit is yet another example of Rexam’s worldwide ability to create comprehensive, original and cost-effective spray and lotion mini-dispensers that provide value-added for end-users, encourage consumer trial and purchase, and create unsurpassed return-on-investment for its customers.Rexam has again teamed with Biopack to create this multi-purpose “sampler” kit. Each blister pack contains three components: Rexam’s Sofistics(R) 1.2ml and 5ml with SP24 lotion pumps, and Sofilux 2ml with invisible SP5K pump. Biopack handles filling and packaging operations, using automatic, high-speed operations.
“In today’s air travel environment, where heightened security is the norm, the role of our expertise in sampler packaging has grown exponentially,” said Bourguignat. “Rexam’s ability to lead the market and create this high-performance sampler program will both benefit our customers and delight consumers.”
Designed for optimal on-shelf impact, the new Essential Travel Kit will appeal to retailers in a wide range of channels, such as drug chains, supermarkets, mass market stores, or duty-free shops, according to Bourguignat.
“We now offer a very convenient way for consumers to travel with their favorite brand’s moisturizer, eye serum and perfume, and enjoy the same quality end-user experience as with full-sized retail units.”
“In addition,” Bourguignat said, “sampling amplifies sales and builds brand equity. Fragrance sprays can double sales, when compared to vials and plugs. No wonder, then, that our approach to sampling results in a powerful ROI story for our customers.”
The recently-introduced Blister Pack spray sampler, which allows up to 40 sprays per mini-dispenser — ideal for encouraging consumer trial of a fragrance — will also be exhibited at Luxe Pack Monaco 2007. The Blister Pack sampler, ideal for self-service, mass-market retail applications, is a joint effort with Biopack which handles filling and packaging operations, using automatic, high-speed production processes.
