Risdon appoints European head
Risdon International announced today the appointment of Gilles Vanhelst as European Sales Manager. Mr.Vanhelst will be responsible for evaluating and developing the European market for Risdon.Vanhelst, 42, has more than 15 years experience in cosmetics packaging and sales including employment at Lisi Cosmetics and the Ileos Group. He will be based in Paris.
The appointment represents the first major move for Risdon in Europe, following recent announcements of its acquisition of two manufacturing facilities in China.
“Gilles’ appointment is our first step in establishing Risdon as a major supplier and developer of cosmetics packaging in Europe,” said Eric Bigotte, Risdon’s executive vice president of global sales and marketing. “Our objective over the next 18 months is to explore the prospect of opening a manufacturing facility there to support customer product launches and development. With his knowledge and enthusiasm, Gilles will play an important part in building our European base. I am very happy to add Gilles to our team.”
