Rexam to reach billionth foamer

To mark the occasion, the company plans a special award for the purchaser of the one-billionth pump at Alkmaar (Holland),the birthplace of foam pumps, according to Robert Brands, Managing Director, Rexam Dispensing Systems.

To provide perspective on this sales accomplishment, the company estimates that, if laid end-to-end, one billion of the popular F2 pumps developed by Rexam Airspray – given an 8.0-inch length from top of the pump to the end of the diptube – would stretch 126,263 miles, more than half-way to the Moon, and more than five times around the Earth’s 24,900-mile circumference.

Rexam Airspray’s patent protected foamers all work without gas propellants to transform liquid into creamy, rich foam with a single actuation. The company was first in the industry to offer an unconditional quality assurance plan – which promises perfect operation of every product shipped.  Rexam Airspray incorporates fully-automated production to create its pumps and utilizes 100 percent in-line quality control techniques.  Ten percent of Rexam Airspray’s worldwide workforce is dedicated to research and development.

According to Brands, the Rexam customer that orders the 1,000,000.000th pump will receive a 10 percent order discount (up to €2,500) and a specially created award.
