Rexam refines lip gloss packaging
Following Shu Uemura’s strategic direction for “sophisticated simplicity and modernity”, Rexam features 2 refined packagings called “Unlimited” lipgloss and “Glow On” compact which are part of the same make-up line. Incorporating thick, translucent materials, “Unlimited” and “Glow On” deliver an elegant, yet simple aesthetic. A refined hot stamped logo, along with metallic finishing deliver added sophistication.“Sophisticated simplicity and modernity” were reached thanks to:
> Thick crystal clear materials to give a very modern and refined aspect:
- “Glow On” Compact:
Made of clear PMMA material giving a qualitative thickness effect, and incorporating a 3-step polishing process, the “Glow On” compact is entirely transparent. Rexam adapted its assembly lines to integrate clear plastic hinge pins to further deliver this refined and sophisticated effect.
- “Unlimited” lipgloss:
To achieve that same sophisticated effect in the “Unlimited” lipgloss, Rexam injected a 2 piece PCTA bottle that is ultra sonically welded for a perfect airtight seal. Injection molding the part allows for maximum and uniform thickness, and once filled, delivers a mysterious magnifying glass effect on the bottom of the bottle.
> A simple shiny hot stamping logo on both products and a metallic finishing on the cover of the lipgloss which contribute further to the glamour and modernity of those products.
