RFID products become available
Avery Dennison, the market leader in self-adhesive materials, has announced that it is leveraging its extensive Fasson sales and distribution channel to provide Avery Dennison Radio Frequency Identification inlay products to its customers throughout Europe. In addition to creating a shared sales and distribution force, Avery Dennison has also created an RFID European Test Centre in Luxembourg, home to Avery Dennison’s European RFID division.
A strategic move
The strategic decision to sell Avery Dennison RFID products through its Fasson sales and distribution channel provides customers with a single, expert point of contact. With its high-quality Fasson-brand products, Avery Dennison is a leading partner of self-adhesive label converters and consumer products manufacturers. Avery Dennison has invested heavily over the past few years in establishing the technical, capital and manufacturing resources to become the largest global supplier of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) inlays.
A single point of contact
The new shared sales and distribution channel simplifies the purchasing experience for customers and enables Avery Dennison to better meet all of their needs. “RFID is a powerful tool and we are already seeing considerable interest from our converters’ customers in exploring how RFID can help them work more efficiently and effectively,” says Don Stoebe, Vice President and General Manager for Avery Dennison Roll Materials Europe. “Our converters have clearly expressed a desire to purchase our RFID products with the same ease that they purchase our Fasson brand products. By combining our sales and distribution forces, we can provide our customers with rapid access to the expertise they require for whichever solution they need.”
Developing solutions for a growing market
Avery Dennison’s new RFID European Test Centre is located at the RFID Division headquarters in the Company’s Luxembourg facility, which is the Company’s largest self-adhesive materials manufacturing facility in Europe. By testing and identifying the right RFID tag for a given application, the test centre will demonstrate specific RFID applications ensuring optimum performance of the tags in the real world.
