As of October 1, 2007, BASF will increase prices in Europe for the expanded polypropylene (EPP) Neopolen® P by 300 euros per metric ton. This price adjustment has become mandatory owing to the further rise in raw material costs, transportation and energy costs.

Due to its combination of high compressive strength and light weight, the specialty foam Neopolen P is mainly used for crash protection purposes in the automotive industry and for transport packaging of high-value parts.
