FEFCO appoints retail packaging director
FEFCO (the European Federation of Corrugated Board Manufacturers) announced today a new position as Retail Packaging Director at their offices. This position has been appointed to Ms. Gudrun Klopfer (49) from Germany who will begin at FEFCO on 1st October 2007. Ms. Klopfer’s main responsibilities will include building solid relationships with retailers across Europe in order to enhance corrugated board’s role in the retail industry.Previously, Ms. Klopfer was involved with the Smurfit Kappa group for over four
years, firstly as the Sales and Marketing Manager for Smurfit Kappa Neuss and then as
Retail Sales and Project Manager for Smurfit Kappa Packaging.
In the run-up of her career, Ms. Klopfer gained extensive experience with renowned
companies within the food sector. Notably, Ms. Klopfer was the National Key Accounts
Manager for Campina and Muellermilch and as the Sales Manager for Germany of Imports at
IFCO Systems, a well-known supplier of Reusable Plastic Crate (RPC) systems in the
sectors of Food and Non-Food products.
