New colours on show
Ciba® Color Services is presenting its new COLIBRI™ color‑formulation system at the K‑Show in Dusseldorf, October 24‑31, at the Konica Minolta Stand, No. E22, in Hall 11. COLIBRI™ 3.2 includes numerous new features designed to optimize the software within a global enterprise. COLIBRI™ 3.2 now allows the measurement of transparent samples, the generation of standards through sample averaging, correction of samples of unknown origin, and also has an improved “left-over” function. COLIBRI™ 3.2 is suitable for inks, paints, plastics, fibers and ceramics.
“COLIBRI™ color‑formulation systems, which are well‑known for their superior matching accuracy, are continuously and rapidly updated to better fit industry‑specific requirements,” said Sonia Megert‑Marshall, Global Head of Ciba® Color Services. “With our global presence, we can assist customers around the world with implementation and application know‑how.”
Ciba® COLIBRI™ 3.2 offers multi‑national companies enhanced productivity, since it can also be fully integrated with common Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. This unique functionality, together with highly accurate recipe calculation and all the other attributes of COLIBRI™, allow time and cost savings. Easy use ensures high throughput, resulting in rapid response to customer requests. Simple configuration permits adaptation to the needs and skills of operators.
Ciba provides extensive associated services in addition to the color‑matching software, including expertise on pigment preparation and color measurement as well as software support for all color needs and color consultancy from design to realization.
Ciba has a distribution agreement with Konica Minolta for marketing Ciba® COLIBRI™ color management software and related services. The collaboration allows customers in the plastics, paints and graphic arts industries to benefit both from Ciba’s expertise in color measurement software and colorant application know‑how and from Konica Minolta’s competencies in color measurement instrumentation.
