EU commission to be present at Agrobalt
The importance of AgroBalt for European agricultural politics is rising each year. On the regular press conference on June 8th the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Lithuania and the exhibition organizer IFWexpo informed about the political programme at AgroBalt. The exhibition will take place in Kaunas, from September 13 – 16 2007.This year the Ministers of Agriculture of Europe will meet
during the exhibition to exchange opinions about “The Future
of Common Agricultural policy of the European Union”. The
symposium is initiated by Prof. Kazimiera Prunskiene, the
Lithuanian Minister of Agriculture. The EU-Commissioner of
Agriculture and Rural Development, Mrs. Mariann Fischer
Boel will also take part at the discussions.
„We are glad to welcome such top-class guests at this year’s
AgroBalt. Due to the forum the city of Kaunas will become
the centre of the discussions about the European reforms of
Agriculture” says Mrs. Rita Höpfner, managing director of
IFWexpo.
Another highlight at the exhibition will be the participation of
the European Commission of Agriculture and Rural
Development, which will present themselves on a 200 sqm
stand. The Commission will inform about the program of the
Common Agricultural Policy and offer many attractive
activities for the visitors.
