A pioneer and expert of Sleever® technology for 35 years, Sleever International® jointly carries out, with its engineering subsidiary, Sleever Machines®, the development and manufacture of a full range of equipment designed to shrink-wrap sleeves: single- and dual-head shrink-wrappers, steam shrink, infrared and hot air applicators and special machines.

Today the group markets a new generation of high-speed shrink-wrap machines, the Powersleeve® Evolution 4, based on 15 years of consolidated experience in the Powersleeve® range, proof of its reliability. The machine implements a proprietary patented technique: floating sheath opening, rotary synchronised multi-blade graduated cutting, transfer of the sleeve by ejection and pre-positioning of the packaging by scrolling (simple, double, turned over or not).
A new facet of this tried and tested system, the new 100% electronic machine calls upon servo-driven technology and up to 12 motion control cards can be combined to carry out all its functions.

Its main assets include accurate results at speeds of between 24 000 (single-head version) and 48 000 bottles/hour (dual head on line or parallel); movement accuracy of up to ± 5/10th mm), format changeovers of less than 20 minutes per operator; a significant reduction in maintenance costs, thanks in particular to the display of a diagnostic of incidents and preventive maintenance reminders; reduced floor space and fewer components. The choice of international components is two-fold: North American with Allen Bradley and European with Siemens for the servomotors; the processor/motion control cards aspect remaining proprietary.

The Powersleeve® Evolution 4 is designed to handle containers of diameters of 190, 130, 65 and 16 mm, a minimum height of 30 mm and maximum of 320 mm and is compatible with all existing materials (PVC, PET, OPS, TPE…) and thicknesses of between 30 and 120 µm.
It can be equipped with a series of peripheral accessories depending on the customer’s specifications:
• Full micro-perforation and cutting station (± 5/10th mm)
• Auto-control of the shrink-wrap sleeve process by cell or camera
• Synchronised and graduated marking/coding system
• Feeding systems adapted to various configurations: simple feeding, with manual accumulation and splicing, with automatic splicing to reduce the time spent by the operator
• Bespoke conveyors depending on the application: modular aluminium structure or modular stainless steel structure with preset guidance
• Height and lateral shrink-wrap sleeve positioning depending on the container and sleeve dimensions.

This latest generation of Powersleeve® Evolution 4 has enabled Sleever International® to extend its equipment range, recognised the world over for its reliability, flexibility, functions and performances; thereby providing the industry with solutions to each project that are capable of evolving over time.
