Heinkel chooses Taplast
Henkel has chosen Taplast to create an eye catching packaging for its new active hair gel Dep M Groom: SPHERA, a metallic grey colored PE jar which is composed of two interlocking parts.
Launched on the US market in the 2006, Dep M Groom is a high tech hair styling product for men in an exclusive packaging: it is not in the common bottle, it is in a new package with a high impact design: the lower half of the sphere which is nested on a cylindrical basis contains the product while the upper sphere acts as the closure, with ridges to allow for a slip free grip. With this type of packaging, your product is elevated to a higher status to allow your target market to perceive your product as a cosmetic product rather than a common hair gel. SPHERA is a custom product that meets all specific requirements of Schwarzkopf Henkel; as stated by Mr. Mauro Berno, Taplast Project manager: “we developed some design proposals and after a rapid approval, 5 molds were industrialized in 8 weeks: from brief to project the customer received the first complete supply in 9 weeks.”
The multinational company chose to work in partnership with Taplast because of its leading edge technology of molding and assembly processes, quality control, and project development - from the initial design to moulding, to the finished product. In times where the time to market is strategically demanding, the close collaboration between Henkel’s Packaging and Taplast’s know-how demonstrated Taplast, specialized in dispensing systems, is partner to multinational companies operating on the personal and household care markets. A family owned business founded in 1973 and today in its second generation, Taplast innovates by associating design, ergonomics, precision and ecology.
The sustainable development in projects (material reduction, re-use and recycling) and a coherent design to the brand identity have permitted Taplast, from 1995 to today, to well-receive 11 awards in various international design and packaging competitions.
