Rexam’s innovative super low profile pump (SLPP) with glass ball enhances the new ‘Vera Wang Princess’ fragrance package from Coty Prestige. ‘Princess’ is the first commercial launch of the Rexam pump featuring the glass ball bearing designed to make the internal mechanisms of the pump transparent to the end-user.

Rexam Dispensing Systems’ low profile glass ball mechanism, assembled with a bright gold actuator and collar, complements the package’s striking elegance – a heart-shaped, cut-glass bottle bestowed with a bejeweled golden crown cap befitting a ‘princess.’ The pump, which fits the scent’s 30, 50 and 100 ml sizes, is also assembled with Rexam’s The Crimpless System®.

“Our new glass ball bearing mechanism was an essential element the customer was looking for when choosing the Rexam pump,” said Jeff Funk, Key Account Manager at Rexam Dispensing. “It adds elegance to any package, especially one as outstanding as ‘Princess’ with its eye-catching heart-shaped bottle and jeweled crown cap.”

The glass ball in the SLPP mechanism is an alternative to a metal ball. Not only does it increase the neutrality of the overall spray mechanism but it also presents a cleaner, more invisible appearance. The new SLPP assembly also contains no elastomers and no rubber gasket that might contaminate the product formula.

Launched at Luxe Pack New York in May 2006, this new SLPP teams with Rexam’s range of invisible fragrance pumps that feature the miniature SP5, the super low profile SLPP, the compact SP7 and SP8 especially designed for pre-assembled pump + cap + decorated collar kits.
