Avery Dennison have recently introduced a new formulation of Fasson PE Laser White Matt to its dedicated range of labelstocks for chemical drum labelling and similar challenging applications.

Fasson PE Laser White Matt combines a specially-engineered matt white PE film optimised for hot laser printing — one of today’s preferred imaging methods for drum labels — with a special-purpose, high-performance, permanent adhesive, Fasson E400, designed for rough and apolar surfaces such as HDPE drums.

Fasson PE Laser Matt White offers a package of benefits for converters and end users. The face film is conformable, offers the stiffness characteristics preferred for the hand application of large labels, and has no electrostatic charge. It is suitable for printing on all industrial and desktop laser printers, as well by the available conventional and variable information print processes. The product additionally offers the broad service temperature performance — -40 deg C to +100 deg C — required for dangerous goods transit labelling; and the opacity of the construction ensures that the printed information on the label is not compromised by the underlying substrate,

The comprehensive Fasson range of dedicated self-adhesive chemical drum labelling materials from Avery Dennison is an industry standard. The company’s facility in Cramlington, UK, was the first in the industry to develop a salt-water testing site for its materials to the relevant standard for self-adhesive labelstocks — BS 5609 Part II. Since then, the company has retained its commitment to innovation in this area.

The current Fasson range includes PE, PET, PVC, and PP in many different grades — from gloss and matt white and transparent to metallised chrome and silver — as well as a choice of Fasson adhesives for durable performance in the most challenging of environments.
