The new PME 4261 BN with vacuum station is a coffee packaging machine in the medium speed range. The "Two in One" equipment from Bosch Packaging Technology offers coffee roasters a highly flexible production. It packs coffee grounds and whole beans in vacuum packs, soft packs or pillow pouches containing quantities between 50 grams and 1000 grams.

With the PME 4261 BN, coffee roasters can also be very flexible in the use of the different packaging designs demanded by various consumer markets. The machine can handle different package shapes on a single packaging line: flat or stand up package top, tin-tie, tape, or with a label as a reclosure mechanism. It is also possible to implement peelable top-closures with ergonomically formed ends that can be held to open the package easily, corner-sealed block-bottom bags, labeling, or the use of aroma protection valves. The machine even produces pillow pouches for the catering business without difficulty.

Thanks to the modular design of the machine, optional fittings for additional package shapes can easily be retrofitted. The coffee roaster can therefore quickly adapt package design to new market demands and customer requirements.

The vacuum station of the PME 4261 BN operates according to the proven top-evacuation principle. Bosch Packaging Technology is building here on its many years of experience with vacuum packing. To preserve the quality of the coffee it is possible to flush the packages with inert gas before evacuation, and to attach an aroma protection valve either inside or outside.

When designing the PME 4261 BN, the Bosch engineers placed particular value on easy accessibility and operability of the vacuum station. The station can therefore be opened without tools by a few manual operations. It achieves an output of up to 35 packs per minute, with the residual oxygen figure being less than one percent. A package pressing unit integrated into the vacuum station ensures that the vacuum packages are regularly formed.
