GASSNER, the specialist for cap feeding systems, presents new, integrated solutions to combine conventional and oriented cap feeding for nearly all kinds of caps. We do not see the different kinds of cap feeding each by each, we offer a wide range of posiblities to combine the systems. In accordance to the needs of our customers we take the benefits of the conventional cap feeding and bring them together with the benefits of the orientated cap feeding. This combination guarantees a high effectiveness of our entire system.

An integrated cap feeding system can consist e.g. of the orientation part positioned close to the housing of the filling and capping area and effect a high hygienic standard and an optimum of cap orientation. The additional conventional part of this system brings the closures from the storage room to our elevator-sorter DynaSort. All components from GASSNER are built in a modular way and enable a lot of combinations of the components with a smooth transportation of the closures through the entire system.

System component “Orientated Cap Feeding”
The technically innovative concept of the elevator-sorter “DynaSort” was expanded and now enables not only to operate standard screw cap (FlatCap) and Push-Pull (SportsCap), but also fashionable trend-design caps like Flap-Caps (SnapOffCaps or Thumb’UpCaps).

The basic idea is to have the caps orientated not directly above the capping machine, but slightly to the side of the central bottling area. This has the big advantage that less abrasion and dust occur in the clean area. In addition, the oriented caps can undergo sterilizing or aseptic treatment during onward conveying. And also in comparison to the conventional manner, when capper, sorting hopper, sterilizer and feeding system are placed above each other, the newer way of oriented feeding needs much less head room.

System component „Conventional Cap Feeding“
The starting-point of this system component is the commonly encountered situation with central storage of all the cap types in one storage area, where the caps are held ready in basements (bins). Automatic distribution to the individual filling lines, according to requirements, takes place from this central location, using the very latest conveyors and branches. The single belt conveyors HB as well as the multi-track series HB-2 and HB-3 belt conveyors form the backbone of multiple track cap feeding and will be supplemented by the Inclining Belt Conveyor type SB or the Bucket Elevator type VE. The control cabinet with touch screen provides see-at-aglance information about current line status, while simple, intuitive navigation aids enable to operate the system without any problems.

All parts of our components are made of stainless steel /special plastic material and they are designed for multishift-operation.
