Award for Seidel

The reason for the decision was to appreciate Seidel’s highly proactive approach to develop innovative solutions.

Seidel approaches customers with own suggestions and ideas instead of answering passively to customers’ requests. Furthermore the award, annually conferred to another supplier, is given for Seidel’s high innovation potential and flexibility as well as for short response time, for example regarding the provision of alternative solutions.

For a long time it has been self-evident for Seidel to offer its long experience at a very early stage of the customers’ product development process - which now is rewarded with the Innovation Award.

Moreover the award confirms Seidel’s new strategy to bank on own designs and developments in addition to industrialising customers’ products only. Instead of awaiting customers’ inquiries Seidel now proposes own designs and solutions - which is mirrored in the new motto living design.

For Procter & Gamble Prestige Products Seidel manufactures inter alia the well-known “bowl“ for the fragrance “Boss in Motion“, design components for the male skincare range “Boss Skin“, a spray cap for ”Hugo Energise“ as well as a challenging aluminium cap with a corrugated border and an engraved Puma-logo for Puma’s new twin fragrance ”create“.

In 2004, the manufacturer of aluminium design components had already received the P&G-“Award for Exellence in Execution“ – for irreproachable, proactive and excellent service.

Seidel GmbH & Co. operates three production sites in the Marburg area in Germany and develops and manufactures design components predominantly out of aluminium, mainly for cosmetic packaging. Furthermore, clients of the writing utensil, automotive and pharmaceutical industry belong to Seidel’s portfolio.

The surfaces of the aluminium parts are finished by anodising. Beyond Seidel offers complete design products of highest quality – aluminium components assembled with plastic injection moulding parts from one source. Decades-long experience, unique know-how and state-of-the-art technology enable Seidel to master challenging complex projects. This ability is demonstrated for example by realising the “Boss-in-Motion“-bowl and many more projects.
