Rusal makes appointment

Valeriy Draganov will serve as RUSAL’s Government Relations Director, responsible for liaison with Russian federal and regional governmental institutions, the Russian Parliament, and NGOs. He will also be in charge of developing projects in the areas of state/private partnership, cooperation with natural monopolies, support for the regions in which RUSAL operates, and other activities that will contribute to the company’s long-term economic strength.

Before joining RUSAL, Mr. Draganov held various senior managing positions in state enterprises, in which he dealt with issues of a national scale such as improving Russian industrial competitiveness and domestic economic growth.

Mr Draganov’s vast experience and knowledge of the legislative and executive process, in addition to his business acumen, is expected to play an important role in RUSAL’s successful realization of large-scale regional projects and RUSAL’s further geographic expansion.
